Pistols pistols pistols
22 November, 2012, 20:59
Ok so looking to get a sidearm and the majority of people tend to go with gas by the looks of it.
Is there a major diff between gas and electric pistols. What's better?
Cheers guys

Gas is FUN
Only thing electric has going for it is its cheap and easy to maintain.
Gas is more realistic, recoil, functionality, take down etc.
Plus unless you get a cheap GBB it will generally have better performance than an electric pistols.

can't really add much to this except that electric guns are less affected by the temperature, and so are just as reliable in winter (when gas guns can start to suffer) and thier FPS is less affected by the temperature.

Re: Pistols pistols pistols
AEPs -
Terrible peices of rubbish that should have never been created. Very low power, difficult to get spares, rarely 1.1 scale, highly unrealistic, no blowback. Just awful.
GBB -
Depending on the brand of pistol you get different quality, performance etc...
Tokyo Marui (TM) - Is widley regarded as the best GBB pistols.
High quality, shoot very well, reliable, many many spares available as well as upgrades. Though allways plastic from stock, but well worth it.
They also have very high accuracy and range as standard usually. Never been upset with a TM pistol.
Though should be run off 144a (weaker gas) in summer and Green/Propane in the winter, while they
can
take the higher pressure gas as your new, I wouldnt.
Out of them i'd suggest a 1911/MEU, PX4, 5.7,
KWA/KSC -
Another good brand. Personally dont shoot as well, accuracy/range wise as a TM. However still very good pistols, shoot hard, often full metal. Good quality
WE -
Personally I would stay well away from 90% of WE pistols are terrible, especially the 1911/MEUs. The price will make you want one, full metal, very cheap. Though dont be fooled, they are generally terrible.
Then there are all the various clones. HK3P are good for one..
