Re: Ak74u spetsnaz?
Right..well there is no such thing as an AK74u, and Spetsnaz is usually used to describe an ultra-short fictional AK47 since Marui came out with their AK Spetsnaz and Beta version. I guess what you're referring to is some kind of clone AK Spetsnaz that calls itself an AK74u. Whatever it is, we don't know what it is and can't really help. More info on what the gun actually is would be helpful. Asking if an 'AK74u Spetsnaz' is good is like asking if a red car is good. To start, any idea what brand it is? No retailer links though.

Re: Ak74u spetsnaz?
The marui black ones?
I had one for years, i put a new metal lower reciever and side folding stock on it but internally it ran fine for age until i sold it (it's still going now , seven years on as far as i know, the guy i sold it to seems to use it regularly).
Mine was a bit on the lower end of FPS (around 290 iirc) like a lot of marui guns of the time.
If you dont mind 'fantasy' guns it's all right.

Re: Ak74u spetsnaz?
I have an SRC AK Beta Spetsnaz and it's a very nice little rifle TBH, and pretty much perfect for CQB ..... Very pointable as is, but even better if you run the wiring up into the upper receiver and add a folding or sliding stock.
Externals are good and mostly metal. Internal are fine as well from what I have read on the web and heard about on forums.

Re: Ak74u spetsnaz?
I found this thread using the search engine by writing 'AK74u' with the tags 'in jokes' and 'sarcasm.'
So it does work.

Re: Ak74u spetsnaz?
I bought the JG one off a mate at a skirmish on saturday - cracking little piece of kit (even if he had sprayed it gold) - accurate, internals are rock solid after two years of heavy use (or so he says) - gave it a good clean and nearly doubled it's ROF!

Yes, that or AK74SU is the correct term. Even if the correct term was used, no airsoft Spetsnaz rifles are AKS74Us. They are fictional ultra-short AK47s, and don't really share many features of the AKS74U, even though some people insist on marketing them that way.

Nope it is just AKS-74U, the S for the folding stock always goes directly after the original design name in the 74 and M models. You can get a AKMSU which is an AKM with an underfolding stock and U front end, not made in Russia, but made by other countries in which the M is made with or without license. However neither of these are what the OP is looking for.
They are looking for this:

Again, I blame CoD for bad gun understanding.

Actually it is badly done, but that is another matter.
Finally, as for the AK Beta Spetsnaz that TM does it is a perfectly functional gun that fills in the same gaps as the MP5 does, just with the opportunity to run much bigger magazines. Great for up close and useful in the woods and the clones of it are often cheap price but well made, hard to go wrong with a V3 gearbox. I decided to make my own using a JG AK Beta Spetz front end and a TM AK with folding stock, it is tiny but it does the same job as the average M4 but the only issue is the stock doesn't lock up properly due to the mix and match of designs, but then it is more to make it easier to transport than use in game.

Search for what? We can't even be sure what gun he's talking about (which clearly hasn't stopped some people)

It is an AK based off of the JG Beta-f model, called the 'AK-74u' in game. This name is wrong in that such a gun doesn't exist and if it did that is a 7.62mm plastic mag used in game which would make it part of the 47 or M series.
If there was a AK-74u it would look like the front end of the AKS-74U stuck to the body and stock of the regular AK-74 series as U would mean short end, but with no S in the title it would have a fixed stock.

Re: Ak74u spetsnaz?
@ Fire Knife -
How can you be so sure that is the gun he is looking for? It may well be, but how do you know? He hasn't specified. It could have been a typo.
As a side note, is there ANYTHING to do with airsoft or forums that you ARE satisfied with? Many of your recent responses are very negative regardless of thread subject matter... would you like to chat?
