  • PDI AK47 Short outer barrel - fit a Cyma CM.050?

I recently saw a great pic of a Cyma AK47 AIMS with the barrel cut down to the gas block. The PDI AK47 short outer barrel would allow me to have an AK like this without having to saw the barrel myself, but on the PDI website it says that it is designed for Tokyro Marui AKs.

Im pretty sure the Cyma CM.050 is based off a VFC AK, not a Tokyo Marui, so my question is: Would this outer barrel fit onto a Cyma CM.050?

Any help would be much appreciated .

I think you may fall foul of the fact that the early Cyma alloy receiver models, (TM clones) ,have two screws to locate the barrel and sight block. Two under the gun just forward of the magwell and two at the base of the sight block on the left hand side. (You can just see them on the top edge of the fore grip).

I don't think the later steel receiver (VFC clones) have these.
They have a different mounting method so i have been told.

Heres some pics of what i mean mate, (Cyma AK105, early TM model with alloy receiver).
