Best plastic M4
25 January, 2013, 16:42
Hi guys,
I'm considering trading in my metal ICS M4 for some other sort of M4 with a mainly plastic body. Lugging around something this heavy isn't doing it for me.
I'm looking for:
External/Internal TM compat. (no more dremieling!)
7mm gearbox (I have spare bearings)
Solid thick textured plastic
Cranestock is a bonus (I have cranestock lipos)
Quick-change spring
Metal outer barrel, metal buffer tube, metal rails
Internals don't matter hugely to me as I'll be replacing them with SHS hispeed gears and a high torque motor, I just need the gearbox shell to be readily upgradable and not garbage.
Does anyone have suggestions on brands or specific models?

Some options include:
CA sport line models.
TM M4s (don't know if they still make standard M4s?)
ICS sportline
JG M4s
They're all I can currently think of with plastic bodies...
Recoils: TM MK18 / TM Recce / TM G36K / TM AK102
Rifles: G&P LMT MRP
Shotguns: TM M870 / TM M3 / G&P Sheriff 870 / Madbul AGX Tan
Pistols: TM; Sig P226, Hi Capa Extreme x2, 1911 MEU / KWA; USP.45, M226, Glock 26, USP-c x2 / KJW 1911

I'd also be happy with any short barrelled or CQB metal M4 variant. I'm really just looking for something light.

G&G M4's (CM16 combat machines) are plastic bodied and very popular. I would suggest looking at these, can pick one up for a very good price. Have blowback aswell if your after that.

I think rather than buying a whole new gun you will find plenty of ICS m4 users with the sportline plastic bodied m4 who would be willing to swap for a metal one, no money spent, more for upgrades, happys

You might also want to look at the King Arms range of entry level plastic M4s. Very nice, and unlike the Combat Machine, they come with Colt markings....very nice texture, and they feel very robust.

Re: Best plastic M4
ics m4s are one of the easiest guns to work on,and swapping over a metal receiver for a plastic one is very quick and simple

Re: Best plastic M4
i would highly recommend any of the G&G combat machine series, great all round guns for a low cost
Surrounded? You mean we can attack in all directions!!!
