Which gun should I buy?! ACR or 417

Hi guys, not a new player but I do need some advice
I'm just not sure what gun to get next
Stuck between a Magpul PTS Masada ACR and the VFC HK417..
Any experiences would be welcome

I've had both and personally preferred the 417
Performance wise they were fairly close
The magpul is quite cool in terms of interchangeable parts but in my opinion they look a little plasticky (I know the real ones made of polymer). The 417 is rarer, more sought after and looks so much cooler
Also my 417 was spot on out the box whereas the Masada had a few hop issues, which I've heard is a fairly common fault
One thing I would say on the 417 is availability of mags - check this before u buy one as mags were like gold dust when they came out. May b better now though
Advantage of the Masada is that it takes m4 mags
417 is heavier I think
If u ever come to sell it, the 417 will b easier to shift

Still the 417 for me though. Stunning gun. Beautifully made

Personally Id get the masada, just due to the M4 mags... but then I d rather got for a recoil TM 416 if it was a choice between the ACR/416.

If you wanna go with something with bigger mags, why not go for the Scar-H.


Ive never had any problems with the masada, I find it a very nice gun! still loving mine, there common to see, but not uber common :p

id go the acr but not the ealier gen 1 as they were prone to a few problems, the newer ones are all good apart from the hop issues they sometimes have, which can be corrected with the wii tech hop unit and nozzle for 28.00 which isnt too bad and for the acr or the akm variant the external mods are alot more readily available same as mags etc. and if u buy the akm varient and an acr lower u save money as you already get the cqb length barrel and folding stock preinstalled

The Masada with a Wii Tech hop unit installed is absolutely amazing. I havent owned a gun with better range, and that includes the multitude of bolties Ive owned!

However I would still go for the 417 if it was a choice between the 2. It just looks so much nicer!

Umarex VFC HK 416...amazing
I have had a masada and it was not great tbh. 417 mags are too expensive and same performance as 416

I've got both and i would go for the 417 anytime. No contest.
