400 fps sniper ammo
27 February, 2013, 11:46
I recently bought a mauser sr sniper. im chronoing it at the weekend but they tend to shoot around 400 fps out the box. I was thinking of using .3's in it. is that the best weight or is there a better weight to use?

Re: 400 fps sniper ammo
.28 or .3 would be the most ideal weight in my experience. Obviously use .2 for the chrono

SGM .29g are supposedly the ideal weight... Marui's "Perfect Hit" .28g are also good...

Re: 400 fps sniper ammo
depends massively on how bad the air leaks that are always present are. if they aint too bad, yeah .3s
if not id go .25
the only real way to tell is to try em out.

Re: 400 fps sniper ammo
I would recommend .3 for snipers, that's what I use and they go straight even with wind, as for pistols and rifles I use .25 for the same reason but a little less weight to compensate for slightly less FPS.
