remember they are now shipping with standard m4 style pistol grips and luggless standard front sights (more than happy to be proved wrong on this)

hack off the bayo lugg on the front sight

your sorted, i mean it wont win any awards but its a nod to a truly awesome weapon
and a thumbs up to the amazing lads using them

The only issue i find with making an SFW 'on the cheap', is locating the important parts for a good price. Storm grips are rarely seen for sale second hand (but can be picked up from Hong Kong for around £30), the barrel extensions are also a bit of a pain to track down, although a couple of HK shops sell the pro arms outer barrel kit which has the 10" outer barrel with a 6" traded extension for around 70 notes.

Basically if you want cheap, search and buy your parts from hong kong.

get the WE m4. its the perfect base. the site you linked to (unintentionally) has a service where they will custom build you a gun based on the WE m4 (due to how great a base platform it it).
even if you dont want them to build it for you, they will be able to tell you exactly what is needed to do to the We m4 to get what you want.

its a new keyboard i have cav, lets just say its learning my lingo :P it should only get better

also heres a budget l119a1

silencer is same approximate size as the diemaco one but is a tracer unit so you can get away with it, this also means you dont need a long barrel
the stocks are awkward to find but are never too expensive. dust it with krylon and you should be diemaco'ing your way into the sfw club quick as anything.

that looks nice thats what I would ideally like to make the tracer unit instead of suppressor is a smart change wouldnt have thought of that :P
