replacing lost guide spring in mag

ok i have a we 1911 mag which is totally fine but the bottom of it snapped off and i've lost the spring guide and spring. i have made a new spring guide which fits fine. but i cannot think of what to do to replace the spring i lost. has anyone any ideas?? maybe 2 or 3 springs from a biro or something?

Those springs are square iirc, would be best off trying to source a proper replacement, anything is more than likely to cause massive issues.

got it sorted mate. the spring is circular. managed to find my old springer p99. and the spring and spring guide from it fitted perfectly! one fully working mag again!
