Replacement motor
24 March, 2013, 05:51
Recently I found out that a gun I brought from this forum has a defective motor. Tried getting in contact with the guy but I got the cold shoulder.
Anyways I'm looking for a replacement motor, which is the tm eg-30000 hc, the short version for the Aug. Can you guys think of any motor that is up to the job, as I can only seem to find the long version for sale.
Thank you in advance

Re: Replacement motor
Yep, SHS ultra or High torque motor will be at least as good and give better trigger response. Or any of the same 'type' of motor.

What this guy said, SHS ultra torque is what you need, they go for around £40 in the UK and on Ebay

Re: Replacement motor
Sorry I was going to post external links but realise they would go against forum rules. It's the aip high torque 50000 short motor, would that one be suitable.
I got a pretty fast gear set already, think I just need the torque for now

Re: Replacement motor
I've not heard the greatest things about AIP motors. I'd stick with SHS. It's whats in my M4 and its beastly.

Re: Replacement motor
Is it to go in a TM HC series gun?
Might pay to get a direct replacement if there's nothing else at fault.

Re: Replacement motor
Like the other chaps say, can't go wrong with SHS.
X hi-tech motors are decent too. But are getting slightly more difficult to find.

Re: Replacement motor
It's not hard to find a motor that wipes the floor with the EG30K's performance in every way but you don't want to go too fast on the stock parts. Piston timing will be the issue.

Nope... The original motor is a high speed one. BUT the SHS high torque will give similar or better performance with much better trigger response.

Re: Replacement motor
Iv read up on the Shs high torque motors, and found that even more people are prefer the lonex a2 over that. Both costs around the same region. Should I definitely go for the Shs high torque or the lonex a2? Getting paid tomorrow, can't wait to order it in

Re: Replacement motor
I have no direct experiance of the Lonex motors, but they do make some very good parts.
If you have the money you could look towards the Teinly made Ultimate high torque motor. They are lovely.
