  • Clasic Army G36 dismantling and advice

im taking appart my G36C (as pictured bellow) so far i have :

    taken out the 3 pins
    removed the battery + fuse
removed the spring and spring guide from the back end
taken off the mag and mag cap
-->here is where im stuck can you litterally pull the gear box out or will it break the blow back ???

i have tried researching it only but they all have a different version of this gun

im doing this as im changing from mini tamiya to deans connectors !! :D
photos (as the zeroin photo magement is being g*y at the moment) -->http://dl.dropbox.com/u/100325588/20130409_221835.jpg and http://dl.dropbox.com/u/100325588/20130409_221719.jpg

i would also like to know these questions
    1) Type of gearbox (v2 or v3)
    2) The spring (m90 or m100)
    3) Are the gears plastic or metal? Is the sector gear half teeth or full teeth? The cylinder, piston head, spring guide, nozzle etc. Which of these are metal and which are not?

yes i did do you-tube research but i found nothing, as mine seems to catch on something and not come off straight away , plus their guns looks alittle different and seems to come away very easily . this is why i thought they have disabledtheir blow back allready. That's why im asking the question

            1) Type of gearbox (v3)
            2) The spring (m100 most likely)
3)the gears are metal, the sector gear is full teeth. The cylinder is metal. piston head, spring guide, nozzle are plastic etc.

Re: Clasic Army G36 dismantling and advice

would you advise getting a metal piston head, spring guide and nozzle then??

also do you know what could be catching it ?? is the hop up attached to the top of the gun ?

Re: Clasic Army G36 dismantling and advice

Metal piston heads aren't great, too heavy compared to the plastic ones, just means more impact on the front of the gearbox case. Stick with a plastic one.

Spring guide is worth upgrading to a metal one with bearings.

No need for a metal nozzle doesn't really make a difference if its metal or plastic. The only reason to replace a nozzle is if you are getting an air leak. Then you would want to replace our current one with one that has an o-ring.

Just because its metal doesn't mean its better. There are a lot of parts that are more beneficial being made out of plastic especially when it comes to weight.

I have never opened up a CA g36 so i cant really say, Just get a torch and have a good look around, Check for any screws that you haven't removed, Sometimes it might be a thing of pulling something out of the way. If it went together it must come apart, just think logically.
