TW or support weapon?
15 April, 2013, 01:33
I'm currently rocking a CTW which I love but I am starting to miss the support gunner role after selling my m249
my question I wish to ask is; which gun is likely to be more fun and useful?
My current gun: CTW MX3
My dream support gun: Inok M60 (the E4 to be specific)
Unfortunately circumstance means I can't own both and I can't make my mind up as to which I'd enjoy more
any advice or personal experience?
(and don't worry, this isn't another TW vs AEG debate)

Re: TW or support weapon?
fun = m60
practical = armalite
make a list of why each is fun/practical/impractical and work from there mate
trading WE M16A1 for CYMA or RS SVD with PSOP

The inok m60 is awsome there are a few draw backs though.
1.rare as shit
2.there not in production
3.you better hop it dont break cos spare parts is like a needle in a stack of needles

Externally they shouldn't break as they are solid as a rock, unless u try throwing it off a cliff or something stupid.
The internals are pretty much any aeg compatible parts, I.e hop up and gear box parts.
Plus you see M4's all day long, yet how often do you see a high quality M60 on the field

M60. So much feckin win. Yeah TW's are nice, but an Inokatsu M60 is just so special. It's a rarity and slightly whimsical. What's life without a laugh?

Re: TW or support weapon?
If you're in to Milsim I'd say go with the '60 ( I love the E4/Mk48). The problem with support weapons at normal skirmishes is you're carrying around 8Kg with no advantage, due to boxmags/hicaps. I really miss my M249 but using the 100rd nutsack which held 1200 BBs, what advantage did I have against a plastic M4 with a 1000rd hicap?

Re: TW or support weapon?
The advantage you would have would be intimidation of enemy players who dont realise that your gun is just an aeg different clothing. Other than that you would just look far more awesome.

Re: TW or support weapon?
You'd certainly look cooler!
But surely people aren't that stupid to be intimidated by another AEG, same as they wouldn't be by a Desert Eagle, which is just another GBB pistol?

Re: TW or support weapon?
I've seen people intimidated by a bog standard snow wolf Barrett 50.
I sold my CTW to fund a sopmod, a TW is after all just another M4 Aeg with an expensive repair bill.
My advice?
Get the M60, have fun and buy a cheap M4 as a project (ASCU v2 with a good high torque motor gives you faster trigger response than a TW on the same battery, proven).
section 24 of the 1968 Act
Supplying imitation firearms to minors
1)It is an offence for a person under the age of eighteen to purchase an imitation firearm
2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.

Re: TW or support weapon?
I'm starting to think an M60 and a bog standard TM or G&P M4 would be fun
thanks for all your advice, I'm starting to lean towards an M60

Re: TW or support weapon?
only thing i'd say about the m60 is the weight, starts feeling like your arms are going to fall off when lugging a heavy gun around all day
