I'd forget the Barbour, you don't want to look like Prince Charles with an M4, other than that, just keep it cheap and cheerful till you've got the funds.

You can get a decent set of DPM from a surplus store for a few quid. Also, try a search on google for "british military surplus".

Surplus gear is cheap as chips and can find it on plenty of sites.

TBH matey imo it doesn't really matter what you wear as long as you make a bit of effort! I mean me and my team all wear jeans and black hoodies with our team emblem on it etc. the PMC look.

then we have a mixture of tac vests drop leg gear and belts. its all personal preference really just whatever you are comfortable with.

cool, well its good to know things arn't too elitist and that everyones pretty relaxed. i mean you look just online (chairsofting) and all you seem to find is pics of guys in pretty impresive rigs. From my limited experience it wasnt too bad but iv only been a few times, does this vary from site to site?

theres a fair few "geardos" and gucci 'softers out there.

i spent £30 on a set of dpm (trousers, shirt, jacket). and i just where that with some solid boots (ok, these cost me £100ish, but they are hiking boots, that i use alot!) and some glasses. i dont even have a vest/rig or anything yet (no real need at the moment)

its cheap. it works (in woodland).

Basically modern day mercenaries. A great way to turn up on the field in casual clothing and a baseball cap.

Any thing goes, I think we all appreciate to see some "effort" rather than white trainers and jeans though

I had to lend the girlfriend my kit for a game (stops most the pain!) so just threw a PMC look together. Plain T-Shirt, Tan (ish) trousers & baseball cap :D Job Done! Sure you could raised the cupboard to make something similar :D

oh i can find stuff, its just i'm pretty strapped for cash atm (uni and all) the internet has such variety. i was looking at the Swedish M90 splinter BDU's and really liked them, only draw back is they apear to be the most expensive BDU's you can buy.

i seem to have a magpie eye for the most expensive things that are completly out of my price range.
