  • Fitting sorbo - complication

Right, so last thing for this gearbox is AOE. Slight problem, the back of the cylinder head looks like this, which will make the fitting quite hard, advice on what to do?

(Rubber from cylinder at top, sorbo right)

    What do zeroin? What do?

leave the rubber in usually.... if not just cut the sorbo down to size.... tbh i dont see why you cant just glue it on how it is what exactly are you asking?

Ideally I would use another cylinder head, even if it is a crappy acm one from the junk pile. Otherwise, in this scenario I would personally just glue it on the outer edge, where possible. It held the old pad without issue so this one will hold too. It just means that the sorbo will be a little less effective, as it will have a smaller active area.

Well im not here for the sound reduction ect, just longevity of the piston.
