ASG (Ares) AW .338 spring sniper rifle bad A** or bad egg
20 May, 2013, 08:30
I've been looking at one of these for my first sniper rifle.
anyone had any good/bad experiences with one of these? the externals look solid but i don't know how good the internals are. I've seen them listed for around £180 and the only other alternative i have really considered is the TM l96 AW witch is considerably more expensive and as my budget is about £200 i cant really afford one.
also does anyone know of any upgrade parts available?
thanks

Re: ASG (Ares) AW .338 spring sniper rifle bad A** or bad egg
As I understand it the one for £180 is the sportline which has a lot more plastic parts than the full one.
That said the parts are mostly VSR compatible so upgrades won't be too much of an issue.
Externally the plastic parts hold up fine and for the price it's a good option
It's hard to find reviews specifically of the cheaper plastic one, but I'd imagine most of the mechanisms are the same so if you google "ares aw 338 spring review" there's some good information out there.
