Cutting gun case foam?

Just a quick question, I'm just curious to see what people use to cut the outline of their gun on the hardcase foam? All I see is people using electric turkey knife cutter haha

I know there is a company, online, ( don't know name ) that will machine cut foam to your specifications. I do remember when I got my first photography case, back in the day, I used a stanley knife after marking out pattern with marker pen. Good luck.

ive used a hotknife, a kitchen knife and a turkey carver, the kitchen knife came out best but was the most work.
laser cutting would be the best imo

I did it with a craft knife. It's not as neat as laser-cutting but unless you look hard at the foam you can't tell the difference.

Foam cutters are cheap from DIY stores and the bay. Just a simple 'U' of wire which heats up and burns a path through around your pre marked shape to be cut out.
