  • Now, which M4 A1?

    Hi all!
I`m in the market for an M4 A1. I have a TM M4 CQB plastic receiver. its a great bit of kit. But now I`ve been playing at different site with different FPS`s so was thinking about getting an assault rifle which I can swap out the spring easily. So was thinking about either the ICS M4 or the new Ares M4. Both of which can have there springs changed quickly and easily.
Sure the do it in different way`s, but my question is:
which would you guys recommend and do any of you have either rifles and what has been your experiences?
Thanks guy`s for all your help.
Look forward to your feed back.

Thanks Nicola for your response. I have used a King Arms M4A1 and they are a sweet bit of kit, nice choice. Will have to take a better look. Thank you.

      All the best, Kieran.

ICS all the way. Split gearbox design that suffers none of the flaws of the V2 unit. Rotory hop units as standard so again, no pants hop unit.

Seriously, in an M4/M16 they are really the best design on the market.

As I say in most of the 'what am best gun' threads, what's your budget? Also, is the easy spring change ability essential to you or more a nice to have?

I asked the forum the same question last week before buying my M4A1. See the link below to see what information I got back.

            Good luck with it.

Thanks guys for all your help. Fizzy thank you but I`m not looking for the 'what am best gun' .LOL...I wouldn't even dream that there is such a thing. If that were the case what would be the use of my growing airsoft armory..lol.
What I am needing is some owners of the Ares or ICS M4A1 to give me there feed back and views of these weapons. Also if some players have used them, what did they thing and so on...
Yes, the swap out spring is a selling point for me but I`m open to suggestions.
And I got a great suggestion from Nicola. I checked out a very nice King Arms M4A1 today.....nice! Thanks Nick for a great suggestion.
So thanks for all the help guys and please keep your info and suggestions coming. Its all a great help.

              All the best,

              Kieran.

Well tell us what your budget is then. There's no point in asking for suggestions, and people recommending £350+ guns when you're budget may only be a max of £250

Right im going to say, FPS isnt every thing, invest the money in upgrading the ho unit/rubber and use .25s. you will find that it gives the same range boost that you would get if putting in a bigger spring (obviously this is if your running 1j and now going to 350 sites)

Well Fizzy, I think I`ll be spending around £280. What can you recommend?

                    Thanks,

                      Thanks Alfer,
that seems a very useful peace of info. I`d rather have an accurate well put together assault rife. Than something that is all show and no go...lol.
                      Thanks for your help.

                      All the best,

Well, that budget would get you a G&P. While you won't have the quick spring change facility, you will have a solid piece of kit with arguably the best externals. For example:
                        G&P M4 QRF GP625 - £286
                        G&P M4A1 - £215
                        G&P M4 EOD - £220
                        Classic Army M15A4 CQB. Compact - £285
                        Classic Army M15A4 Tactical Carbine - £240
                        G&P M4 Commando Colt Body - £250

I am with this. They make very good guns, and the EOD is a great looking gun, A friend of mine just bought one.

kwa M4's are getting some good reviews. upgraded to a very high standard out of the box. the retailer that sells them apparantly had to cut down an M85 spring to get them to 328 fps! so excellent compression. you might want to look into them. At £250 they are perfect for your budget. if you can't find through google, pm me and ill tell you the uk seller.

oh and one other thing. Just to give you some more info. The internals have been compared to systema quality. A guy reviewed it after 85,000 rounds running on a 11.1v lipo and there was virtually no wear on the internals. So can handle an insane rate of fire
