Rubbish hop up rubber and decreasing velocity
29 May, 2013, 09:39
Hi all. Recently I put a a tight-bore barrel in my G&G gr16a2, when putting the hop-up rubber back, it ripped. I put on a terrible, worn, spare hop-up rubber and the fps ov my gun has decreased from 312 to about 280. I have not changed anything else, could the worn out hop-up rubber be the source of the problem?.
Thank you,
Alex:D

If the old hop rubber is al worn and knackered it could be giving a poor air seal, so youre loosing are and FPS? That'd be my first check anyway.

Thanks mate. It's still the stock G&G spring so it could be the spring, however it was a sudden drop with I changed the rubber/barrel so It can't have been the spring.

Will do, I think I'll just get the G&G cold resistant hop up rubber.
