G&G 4-18 L outer barrel removal

Hi
I'm having trouble removing the outer barrel of my 416. The barrel between the flash hider and front sight set up seems to be stuck and I am unable to unscrew it.
If anyone knows any way to help, please comment.
I am not sure wether it is clockwise or anti clockwise screw but I have tried both.
