Very Tempted to get a Cyma MP5 SD6 Sliding Stock Blow Back Full Metal AEG
19 February, 2010, 16:15
I'm looking to get a Cyma MP5 SD6 with Sliding Stock and electric Blow Back -Full Metal in 2 tone. Is this gun any good? Will the blowback break on me? Would anyone reccommend something better over this or help my making a choose on my next gun. Budget around £140.
Cheers

The CYMA meta MP5's are pretty good VFM. it'll most likely be hot FPS wise but internally they are solid and well made - metal bushings, bearing spring guide and piston head. thgey strip down like the much more expensive CA MP5's
The bow back is not something I'm a fan of but the way it's done is pretty solid - a cut out and a hump on top of the piston, better than their blowback AK's.

I have near use the CYMA MP5 but i do recommend the JG MP5 SD6 its very good gun for its price around £90. The range is brilliant, rate of fire is quite high. Me and a mate both have one, he has had it for about 1 and a half years and i have had mine since xmas and the have never broken.

Can fully recomend the Cyma MP5's with blowback, two guys in my team use them and the blowback is solid and quite cool, as already said it will need a downgrade to use at most sites.
I would get one.

SRCs Mp 5's rock. There's a vid on youtube of one being run over by a 4x4 and still useable. I am switching most of my guns to SRC ow that I own and use their G36 KV it's the best gun in my armoury including my SLR and CA 249

Good. Get one.
CYMA are immense in my honest opinion. JG are immense too, they are the two companies I swear by. Many people will ture their noses up at Chinese produced equiptment as it doesn't come with a hefty price tag, but at the end of the day, are you really able to afford something as expensive as the big brands if you have a limited budget? ( this isn't a dig at people who by the more expensive gear, its my own reasoning behind not buying it myself).
:D have fun with your amazing new gun!

Re: Very Tempted to get a Cyma MP5 SD6 Sliding Stock Blow Back Full Metal AEG
I recently started airsoft and got myself the full metal MP5k even after one of my friends told me that cyma were crap. The owner of my local site told me that recently they have got alot better and very reliable.
Now my mate thinks my gun is awesome and so do I
It shoots 350 fps out of the box. Cost me £170 including extra battery and mags.

Yes, I have the CYMA AKM (CM.036) and it both performs well and looks/feels the part. It's damned solid. That's why I'm wondering about the CYMA full metal MP5's, because at that price I fancy giving one a go.
Are the CYMA completely TM compatable (ie. will they take optic mounts etc)?

I am quite new to airsoft but as far as I know they are a direct copy of the TM versions so i guess everything should fit
