What ris to get...

Hello all.

The way through building my own m4.

A vltor body, and at the moment a noveske 10 inch ris and a 9.5 inch barrel, so silencer sits inside the ris.

Not full sure on it.. It sometimes looks to long/not right

At the moment im stuck to what to go with quite like the mk18 mod1 look.

Do i

Stick with the noveske, get a two inch barrel extension.
9.5 inch ris dd in bronze
7 inch freefloat with fig 4 front sight, short barrel

Get pics and advice up.

Had looked through the m4 pic thread, but is too much choice, lol

I would go with the Madbull DD MK18 rail mate. I've got the 9.5 and the 12.5, and they're just beautiful rails. Quality is unreal.

If you fancy something a tad different, perhaps a madbull Troy TRX rail?

im justa little worried as the 10" noveske one look.. to long??will a 9.5" look much better? I dunno its hard to explain

When it comes to choosing a RIS system, there are really only two ways of deciding:

The "heart" approach: "that looks cool, im getting that!"
The "head" approach: "OK, what do I actually need to mount on it, how much rail space to I need, does it work with the barrel length/silencer/gas block I want? etc etc"

If you need to get ideas, then you can do far worse than spending a couple of hours on Google search typing in various combos, for example, "13 inch TRX with 14.5 inch barrel" and seeing what comes up.

Saying that mate....if carlsberg did a ris system itd probably be the best in the world.

Can't send you one of mine at the moment, but look up 'MK18 Mod 1'. That is what you would be looking at with a 9.5 inch.

Again if you need to see a troy trx rail, just type it in google. I had an 11 inch... I assume its available in a shorter length.

Heres a couple of prime examples I found on google. Please note these arent mine so dont give me any credit!

Love the mk18 mod1 look!!

Since the ris has been given a paint job and sight is on looking v nice....

To wait for it to come back from the tech now to make a choice

Yeah Im a massive MK18 fan. Heres a pic pf mine. Its just missing the MBUS sights, which should be arriving any day!
