How to slightly bulk up handguard to fit gun.
30 November, 2013, 20:30
Basic details here, mp5 handguard with the holding fins snapped off inside the rear end.
Trying to fit it to g&g mp5. The g&g does not have slots for the pins anyway but the opening of the rear of the handguard is slightly wider than the edge of the guns body.
I have temporarily (last 3/4 games) just had a few pieces of leather wrapped through the edges of the handguard which hold it tight against the body. But the leather keeps coming loose and also the handguard has a slight wobble to it which is less than ideal.
What I would like to assertain is the best way to bulk up the inside edge of the handguard to fit the gun.
I have considered epoxy putty like milleput Etc but not sure how well it would hold up long term.
Any better suggestions?
