Re: tips on removing front sights?

hey guys, I recently got the src m4a1 and im going to put a free floating ris on there so I need to get the pins out, they are the hollow pin type and no matter what I do they won't come out, the only solution that I can think of is to get some pliers and kind of squash in the end of one side so I can smack it out with an allen key or screw driver. I think in trying to get them out I have flattened the outsides of the pins so that they are holding the pins in more tightly than before. any ideas guys?

You need to find a punch (or equivalent) with parallel sides, as a tapered one (as in the pictures above) will just push into the holes making it tighter.

One option is to find an old drill bit that's the same size as the OUTSIDE diameter of the pins and use the non-cutting end towards toe pin.
