G&P bodies?
15 February, 2014, 14:46
Hi guys
i currently have the asia electric guns sr15 zombie killer
And since i upgraded the absolute nuts off of it the body is starting to really take a hit and will soon im sure fall to pieces
So
I love the zombie killer body and i know that g&p do the identical body HOWEVER before i go and sink another 100 on the body i need to know are they proprietary lower receivers? because the rest of gun is fine and that will be the only part that i want to buy
Can anyone out there shed some light on the subject for me please?
Cheers guys in advance

Re: G&P bodies?
Are asia electric lowers proprietary?
I guess the questions that would help are:
Does it take normal V2 gearboxes?
Does it take a normal AEG stock
Does it take a normal AEG pistol grip
Does it connect to the upper like a normal AEG?
If so, then you might be in with a shot.

Re: G&P bodies?
I thought the AEG (Asia Electric Gun) Zombie Killer had a really weird gearbox. Every so slightly slimmer, due to the ambidextrous safety.
I just completely switched mine out with G&P internals. Only issue is that one pin can't go in (only the small one near the selector) and it's not ambidextrous anymore. Bit of a squeeze to get it in.
Since I got it, the upper receiver has been slightly loose on the lower and wobbling... Even with that tight-squeeze V2 in there.

Re: G&P bodies?
What I did with mine:
Buy AEG Zombie Killer
Buy G&P M16 VN
Gut G&P M16 VN + AEG Zombie Killer
Fill AEG Zombie Killer with G&P M16 VN guts...
Works a dream, and most dependable gun I have now. Built like a brick sh*t house, the body seems fine (once I got over the slight wobble).
Only thing it could potentially benefit from is a tightbore.

Re: G&P bodies?
Should be.
I just remembered I changed the standard stock that comes on the ZK to a G&P M16 full-stock.
I'm one of those 'tards that hates cranes...

Re: G&P bodies?
Aye, I do. Have the whole body apart from the stock (now on my ZK).
It is the VN one, though.

But... What was wrong with the G&P M16VN in the first place?

Re: G&P bodies?
Absolutely nothing. It was brand new.
I just knew G&P intetnals were reliable.
Buying the gun and stripping the internals was cheaper than buying parts.

Re: G&P bodies?
So you took a brand new, reliable, well-made and classically beautiful £230 M16A1, and gutted it so you could put its bits in an ACM rip-off with Bible quotes on it? Voluntarily?
Do you still have the rest of the M16?

Yes and yes.

I would be interested (would have to find out postage though), since I've recently hit money issues. Not a clue what it's worth...
It currently has a working gearbox in it that shoots about 300-320fps, but something is up with the hop (I shoved a load of spares in there to try and turn it into a back up). I'd want to shift that with it... Essentially a working gun minus a stock and hop (albeit a 'meh' working gun). Definitely a project.
