Yes.

I use a viper drop leg with all the belts etc removed. I just looped it through a belt and wear it like that.

They were a tight fit to begin with, but after a while they wear in and fit perfectly. I found they went in better with the fill valve at the top of the mag pouch.

Except I put mine in the other way up so its easier to reload

exactly the same as this guy!
Except I put mine in the other way up so its easier to reload

I feel it just helps to prevent dirt getting in the mag.

oh no sorry I mis-read that anyway.
yes the fill valve points upward then you can grab the base of the mag, turn it and insert it direct into the gun.
So the same way around :p
