does anyone varnish their paint jobs?

I was just wondering if any one out there has tried varnishing over their pant jobs and if so did it make your rifle too shiny to be tacticool?
I have just lost my krylon virginity and am quite pleased with result but would like to make it a bit more scratch resistant.
Any advice on what works?

Re: does anyone varnish there paint jobs?
I've sprayed plasti-kote Krystal Clear over numerous krylon paint jobs and it does look a bit shiny at first but once dried you can't see it at all. the paint will still come off but only if you deliberately do it or give it a good hard knock.
