Tightbore options

I have used the search facility but I cannot find what I'm looking for...
I'm looking to add a tightbore,I can find 3 different materials..ali,stainless steel and brass(you could prolly get steel as well)..which is the best material to use?

IMO Steel, but closely followed by Brass. Most Steel barrels on the market are typically made to finer tolerances anyways.
Polishing and Lapping is also better with Steel and brass - most aluminium barrels are lined with a hard coating or Teflon Nickel which is comparatively poor for such work and is also prone to wear.

some good brands are PDi, prometheus, (premium priced) madbull (probably most popular,mid priced,good results)and lonex do a cheap tb,that that has been getting good results also

yes we are well aware of that fact,but giving a selection of different popular brands using varied manufacturing processes is still beneficial to his question.

I read in some chap's opinion (so not necessarily fact) that wide bores are good if the gearbox and airseal is consistent shot to shot but not so much in a standard AEG.
I'm kind of in the same boat, looking into performance improving barrels but was conflicted on materials. Madbull stainless cut down seems like the front runner right now.
