SRC G36's
11 April, 2010, 14:29
I've been looking around for a new G36 and I stumbled across the new SRC AEG's that have around now.
I don't remember SRC being all that amazing, has anyone heard any different?
Cheers

i've got an SRC MG36 coming either tomorrow or tuesday, will let you know what its quality is like. its the Gen 2 version so if its any good then the Gen 3's should be blinding.

Re: SRC G36's
Here is his review of his SRC G36KV, its basically the same as all the SRC G36 range, internally it will be the same.

From what I have heard from other people other than jfox they are amazing quality for the price with their nylon fibre and glass fibre externals being brilliant. Cant go wrong I think and for the price its a bloody bargain!

Re: SRC G36's
Seriously, For the money I firmly believe they are the best G36 on the market. Internals are first rate. All steel gears and box. GEN III guns have 8mm bearings, Nylon Fibre real steel type material for the furniture, outer material parts fit is excellent.
There is no flexing of the gun anywhere. The hop is a little fiddly to set up right but once done, there is no creep. it stays in place forever.
Stay well away from the Mags though and buy either King Arms mids or JG or similar Highs. Their own brand mags are poor to say the least, misfeed and are sloppy in the magwell. The KA and JG are perfect with no problems at all.

Re: SRC G36's
Also worth noting that Star mags need a tiny bit of there lip shaved off to fit into SRC mag wells. This is the protruding triangle on the side of the mag that the gun clips onto.
This is just geneally a good thing anyway as it makes them fit JG and TM ones better as well.

Re: SRC G36's
Is it compatible with most other makes of G36?
Such as the Jing Gong parts for example. Also what type of plastic is used, is it just ABS?
Thanks

Re: SRC G36's
It uses nylon fibre material for the furniture as both jfox and I have said in our posts. This is the material used on the real steal, so will take a beating

Re: SRC G36's
lol that would help a lot. Anyway read the review linked above I wrote it a couple of months ago not much more to say about it really. Steer clear of the SRC Mags for the minute. they are hard to get hold of anyway. Go with JG highs or King Arms mids. The KA are the best. I have tried swapping parts around and they do fit as I have a JG too. Internally the setup is very similar but the SRC parts are higher quality. They would fit but why bother swapping inferior parts?
