      any 'airsoft battery' that isn't an 11.1 lipo will be fine.

          I use a standard 7.4 Lipo and found that my crane stock nunchucks fit perfectly well into my TM M14 standard od one, (same batts as I use in my m4 so no buying new batts = winner)
          so can't see why not in a socom (same battery compartment isn't it?)
          And they're 2600mah versions so as long as not Rambo will last all day
