G&P Magazine Compatability (M4 type rifle)

Hi,

I'm looking at getting a G&P LMT rifle and will need some mags to go with it (since having sold all my M4 stuff when my previous one snapped in two).

I had issues before with compatability, so I thought I'd ask you lovely lot (better safe than sorry).

I'm looking at DYTAC Invader mid-caps (or others of a similar style).

Anybody able to shed some light on the situation? If not, any recommendations of a similar style (I'm bored of the 'standard' M4 style magazines)?

I'm in a similar situation (luckily without the snapped rifle though!) My G&P spec ops is loving the (relatively) cheap CAA mid-caps, they're light, go straight to full capacity, feed well and only seem to have 1-2 end BBs that are not fed. Time will tell if they wear out slapping into position or not but the polymer seems pretty hardwearing.

Certainly beats the G&P midcap I got with the gun in my opinion.

I like the look of the G&G Black/tan midcaps sold on Zero one but all out of stock atm.

ps. almost forgot, the CAA ones fit like a glove too, no wobble at all.

Don't get me started on the G&P mid I have - that feeds only half the mag before jamming up (the spring won't return the entire way to tje top of the mag - the plastic piece the BBs sit on is too big fir the mag)!

I also have some other unknown mids (which, funnily enough, nobody wants) that when I used them, would feed okay, but when I removed the mag, the casing would come off, leaving the guts in the gun!

Through trying and testing various in my CAR15 today

G&P mids work
Classic army mids work
Genuine P and E mags work
MAG mids work
TM mids work

Clone P mags don't work
Most hi caps can't keep up with ROF
JG mids don't work
Beta project mags feed but not consistently
