WE Luger Vs WE 1911

As title says, I've narrowed it down to these two hanguns, give your views please on what to get. Ive already felt the 1911 and loved it. Anymore points would be appreciated

Luger

Great in the Hand (Well balanced)
Looks Great, Not very common
About £10 Cheaper, about the same price if brought with extra Mag


Also what version, the iconic 4" or the Unique and different 6"?

I've not seen the Luger, but the 1911 I had was okay. Given the choice it'd probably be the 1911, but if you can afford it, get a different make, because as LtPurcy says, the WE is a bit picky with how much gas it wants to use. Great fun, but not too reliable.

you might have holstering problems with the luger? unless you have a specific holster of course...

Never really had a great deal of trouble with the mags, except I lost one lol.

I have a 1911. It does the job.

Depends on loadout really. I would have both though. They are so different from each other. Even their operation is different. Save your money, buy them both. I voted 1911 though, mainly because it fits better with my loadouts.

i loved my luger. however the dreaded trigger issues eventualy crept up and the trigger respose died away so off to a new home she went... was a real performer while it lasted. oh well m93r' is a worthwhile replacement but nothing has the same feel to hold as the luger

I cannot comment on performance as i dont own any.

But a 4 inch luger would be my gun of choice, the original Bad Boy gun.

Makes a change from the usual pistols seen in the fireld

in fact im off to find a price on one :D

the 1911, the gun itself is great ,
the only prob it the mag prong that snaps ,

the luger is a nice gun also , but not for me or many others so ive heard ,

best bet mate , is to go and try a few different models before buying

I've got both. Out of preference, i'd say the Luger is a better gun. Nicer feel, good power (tho prob. not as powerful as the 1911), and a better finish.

Both struggle in the cold though, the 1911 becvause of the heavy slide, and the luger because it has a complicated action.

the luger has so little weight to move in the blowback that mine chronod at 340fps on abbey ultra in feb this year. the slide action is pretty simple also but the slimness of the mags makes it comparable to the 1911 in terms of being affected by the cold
