Advice on weapon systems.
26 October, 2014, 10:58
So a quick thread from me, well I have a feeling this thread wont be quick or short but here goes. Once I get my UKARA back this is the main rifle I want:-
http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/produc...oducts_id=8840
Main reasons, I can get the front post off, I prefer crane stocks, obviously the RiS and its all metal. Now that's all my personal choice however not sure about the blowback, I've read a few places saying it gimps the internals and drains battery etc so thoughts on that? and any internal upgrades you might recommend?
On the subject of upgrades I've got a few already in mind, the M100 spring and these two:-

I'm still deciding on a tan or black rifle all depends on if i can find a scope and suppressor in tan/ dark earth etc going back to the EBB side of things this is the battery I'm looking at:-

Is that going to be any good?
Now side arm, its a simple one how is this one for performance:-

Thats pretty much going to be it for weapons for now, I do plan on using 0.23bb rounds, found a nice set over on Evike that i got my eye on. So thoughts?

Re: Advice on weapon systems.
Blowback is ok, won't damage anything. Hole in the top of the cylinder lets air out, blows the bolt cover back. No risk of damage to owt.
Spring is the same already in there
Barrel is pointless
Sidearm looks alright
Bbs better off bought local. Get a few 0.2s as well, cos sites use them to chrono.

Re: Advice on weapon systems.
Might as well post an update, I've decided to go all the way with my USMC look and get this:-
http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/produc...oducts_id=6096
I will be getting a barrel again, i was looking at a madbull barrel to stick in there and get a better hop for as much range as i can squeeze out. Aside from that its going to be an ACOG for optics, a PEQ box for the aesthetics and perhaps a flashlight. So who has one and whats it like? also interested in what the potential range might be? and should i still go for 0.23 or get 0.25?

Re: Advice on weapon systems.
I wouldnt go lower than a .25 to be honest. I find .28 to be around the perfect weight for most of my guns. Get some .2s just for chrono use too just to be safe.

Re: Advice on weapon systems.
Aye someone has mentioned the 0.20 for the chrono, and I'll see about sourcing some decent .25 as well, might get a load from the states like golden balls etc. Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Advice on weapon systems.
Just buy them here in the UK.. it wont work out much cheaper to get them from the states when you factor import fees etc.. Blasters can be had for around £8 for 3000 so you'd do well to purchase from the UK realistically. And again, I'd go for .28s if you can.. much better trajectory and less affected by wind.

Leave the internals alone. My favourite saying "Don't fix what ain't broke".
If you're going to be changing things around, you'd do better off buying a second-hand gun (could almost certainly get a better one for the same or less).
