  • Quick VSR-10 Maintanence

Hi, Just wondering what basic maintence I should do on my VSR-10 to ensure long life.

I've got some silicone oil drops, and some Systema Cylinder Grease. Are they enough? Do I need some more lubes? How and when do I use them?

Sorry about all these VSR questions :L I know it is kind of getting annoying now.

thats all i really use and it works fine
all i do is clean it after every game
so that no dirt can get inside the barrel or cylinder

Mate I forgot to mention I was talking about the cylinder not the barrel.

When I pull back my bolt it seems a little scratchy, So sould cylinder grease work?

Anderson they are like that in general without a zero trigger. Its due to the angle the piston engages at, 45 degrees, so causes it to be a bit "scratchy" as you put it. You can either get a teflon cylinder or a zero trigger, or both. The lubrication helps smooth things out a bit but for best results get the teflon cylinder and/or zero trigger.

          Hmmm...

I'll only upgrade it to 385 fps so I dont want to splash out on lots of upgrades...

I dont know... I'll think about it...

And the fact the cylinder runs on a plain bearing inside the receiver... Probably doesn't help that rough feeling.
