Re: tm spas 12 ny good for cqb?
Having played CQB I think the shot gun will have a slight disadvantage but it will all come down to the type of games played. Against full auto and even some single shot aeg's it will have a disdvantage. Having said that though I can totally agree with Bleedout on using a shotty to hold out a door. The last time I had used a TM SPAS 12, although big and fast reloading will take practice, it had amazing accuracy and some very good range.

Re: tm spas 12 ny good for cqb?
Not a fan of shotties even at single shot CQB sites; at any mid - long range (corridors etc) an AEG should be able to trump you since it can lay down a faster rate of fire (just pull the trigger quickly), so the likelyhood is you'll get tagged first. For bursting into a room with multiple enemies anything like an M203 is much better (since it's essentially a large blunderbuss), and at much closer ranges (corners, small rooms etc) then a pistol is better IMO.
Still, shotties look cool and always have a place in my heart, but I think they only really work in pistol/shotgun games. Even then I'd still take a pistol :p

having all three i believe the tactical launcher or m3 shortie is much better for cqb in my opinion than the spaz...its just too darn big, it looks menacing though

Re: tm spas 12 ny good for cqb?f
I'd take a short m3 over a tac launcher as ive got both and the m3 out performs it although the tac launcher looks better

Re: tm spas 12 ny good for cqb?
well one is small in length, the other is medium and the spaz is large, so it stands to reason which one out performs the other...if its just room to room, with no long corridors, there isnt much in it, but for me the most defastating is a CAW M79 sawn off

Re: tm spas 12 ny good for cqb?
why not get a proper shotgun, i.e. Tanaka, then you dont have the reload issue (racks so lightly you wouldnt believe) its got some serious range (will outrange the same FPS AEG
) oh, and it looks and feels the mutts nutts!
Shotguns require a different style of gameplay in CQB, especially as soon as the range increases.

I'm not convinced, unless it is a semi auto only site!
Even then, rather have a single shot P90 than trying to get a shotgun round a corner, to then let off one slow shot
yes it is a semi auto onlt site
