Hop up unit

I took off my hop up unit to clean the barrel properly and I dont think i've put the hop up back on right. This black bit of rubber is meant to go in the grove on the bottom of the barrel but then does the hop up sit entirely over that black bit of rubber, well as far as it can go?

The hop rubber sleeve does need to be fully inserted into the hob chamber otherwise that retaining clip won't sit right in the notches of the barrel. Some hop rubber sleeves do stretch which is almost unavoidable, and therefore need a little trimming.

put some rubber grease on the rubber and slide it in(giddedy).then all will be well

so it's all set up right then and nothings wrong with how it is right? One last thing, there's meant to be a little like finger of plastic that pokes into the rubber right? if that's right then i think that bit on mine has broken off.
