    Larue freefloat rail installation probs...

    Hi all, have a 7 inch free float larue rail, however when i tighten the two allen keys on the locking part it pull the rail up, so the barrel isnt in the center...

    Please help

      Errr, sorry for the delay.

      Cant go tighter than this or it pull the barrel up / ris down

            maybe use some shims? I got fed up with mine and returned it.

              Already using shims, is inline till you tighten the nti rotation bit...

                I have one but the longer version, bought off here and it do d exactly the same thing. Nothing I could do would sort it out so I gave up. And I'm no numpty either, I've fitted many rails over the years.

                I noticed why it was doing it though in the end though. The barrel nut part that bites down on the barrel base is very thin and I think flexes. Mine flexed so much it snapped so I now have a sort of hula hoop metal ring clinging on by a few last bits of metal to the inside of the barrel nut. The noveske rail I bought off the same guy was fine. Possibly a new and stronger barrel nut would do the trick, the only ones I can find though are for gbbr. I know a G&G one that although looks identical won't fit, the G&G one however is far stronger by the looks of it - thicker.

                  Left it off mine and the rail is solid.
