Brand new airsofter
15 June, 2015, 15:10
Hi all im new to the ******* ***** and looking at starting up with this new hobby. Everything about airsoft excites me due to the realism of it all and I cant wait to get started.
I live in wigan in Manchester so I am looking for any advice for where to play in the northwest. Also I am struggling to drum up interest with friends as most of them just want to go paintballing or can only afford to go a couple of times a year is it possible to go as a single player?
Thanks and nice to meet you all

I'd advise reading the forum rules, they're quite specific on certain things...

Re: Brand new airsofter
Z1 is probably the most active, newbie/newbie friendly forum out there at the mo so you have made a good start.
I hope you enjoy the hobby and want to offer you a big welcome from everyone involved in the hobby as new players keep the game going
Go to your local site and hire a gun and try other peoples while you are there to get a feel for what you like to use and then once you've been a few times search the forum for what guns suit new players as there is loads of advice out there already. Also on that note, use the search before you post ANY question. You are not the first newb on the site, and most of the questions in your mind have already been asked. If you find the search option on this site a little clunky, use Google.

Re: Brand new airsofter
The best advice that I can give you is to get out there and play; google for local sites or use
http://www.airsoftmap.net/Skirmish/
to help you find somewhere. Hire weapons and gear at first so that you can decide what sort of weapons you like and to get yourself registered withy UKARA (other defences do exist).
Airsofters are generally a friendly bunch so going alone would not be a problem.

Re: Brand new airsofter
I almost always go to sites on my own as my airsoft buddies are spread all over but never near enough :P
never an issue, always end up chatting to someone :P
