MP5K monster range

Hi all, I have always looked at mp5k's and only been but off by peoples reviews saying range sucked even on tm's.

However saturdays skirmish had a chap shooting 50 meters easy out of one of these at around 340fps.

Has anyone else got one Doing this range/fps ?

If so what make and upgrade parts?

Only ones I can comment on are TM and ICS. Range is never good on either but once tinkered with both can get out there but both need a little fettling to get them to their best.

Indeed they do not.

I should have been more specific about my comment being based on MP5's in general and if you really want me to be specific I will list the models I have tried and made my generalisation about

To be honest the best way of setting a K somewhere near that high is to put a harder spring in, and run a Systema high torque motor to it. Also a Systema cylinder and head set. Then run a tightbore through a silencer to get better compression. Lastly run it on a Lipo. Ideally an 11.1v. (MP5K PDW would be ideal for this, could embed the lipo in the stock).

Start with a CA MP5K, as the hops better. Cant garuntee itd do it, or how long itd last though...

TM MP5K's do indeed have a range far past what you may expect. Even with standard power levels they will hold there own. I put some basic upgrades in one for a friend of my son about 2 years ago, M90 spring, H-Nub, Cut down 6.04 Classic Army barrel about 155mm I think and Excel BB's. Crono's at about 320 fps and kept up with almost everything else on the field. Not sure what happened to that gun swapped it I think but it was a very nice little gun. :D

i had a galaxy MP5k

it had same range as my other aegs
and fired at around 330 to 340

it was all down to the prep before the game to get the hop right

once it was bedded it it was spot on every time

Was going to say, the TM k's I have seen have mad range. Used chippys TM one at woodland a few weeks back on the shooting range and it was a rite little beast. It tempted me to get two to use matrix style!

Mine was poo I sold it!! Just like a car, you get a good un you get a bad un. My ICS Mp5 SD5 on the other hand does indeed hit out to that range. I know it isn't a K though.

What you mean like the P90 one of the best ranged guns in airsoft? Size has nothing to do with range it's all about the hop.

I use a TM MP5A4, my mate uses a Galaxy -K. Both have been known to outrange operators with their £Yes guns. As said it's not about size.

Me too, in fact I extended the tight bore into a short silencer with stock hop. Upgraded the gear box considerably but then that doesn't do anything but push the bb. Mine would out range my CA M16A4.

Some peolpe loved it some hated it, if it was metal bodied it would have been great.
