Considering a glock 17 - recommendations?
11 August, 2015, 04:41
Hi guys,
Thinking of treating myself to a new pistol, likely a Glock 17.
As usual TM is king but I wondered about the other options out there seeing as I can't find anywhere that has a TM in stock...
What are your thoughts on the WE and Stark Arms versions?
Just to clarify as my googlefu is weak - Stark Arms is a new name for VFC right?
Cheers
Andy

The TM is the best by far and is only about £20 more than the others, I had both a TM and a WE and on comparison the TM was the best in range, accuracy and gas usage so I sold the WE as it was nice but could not touch the TM.

Re: Considering a glock 17 - recommendations?
I've never owned one myself, but other players in my team have.
the general feeling is WE's arnt too bad, if you can afford the extra go TM as said abouve better range, accuracy and reliability.
That said, a mate has a WE Glock and it out preforms his TM, luck of the draw with WE i think.
However I left airsoft 3 years ago, and have just come back into the fold, and the cheaper brands like WE do seem to be growing! and are becomming massive now! so they must be doing something right.

There were some comments here about the TM Glock

As TM pistols go, it's one of their more fragile.

I have nothing but good things to say about the KJW G23. Run it with WE G19 mags, and it's a very nice little shooter

Re: Considering a glock 17 - recommendations?
I must say I am surprised by the fragility of TM Glocks. Very surprised.
Thanks for that link Fizzy, interesting reading seeing as my current pistol is a TM Hi Capa.
So what are peoples thoughts on the Stark Arms (VFC??) version and even the ASG versions...
Cheers
Andy

Don't get either. For the same price if not more, you get less aftermarket support and less reliability

TM it is then. Will just have to wait until there is one in stock.
