Best pistol for pistol only loadout.

So after playing for a few months, I've decided to change it up a bit and try a pistol only loadout, to try and become more aggressive and all that jazz.
However I cannot for the life of me decide which pistol to go for. I've came up with a few but can't make up my mind, either the TM hi capa 5.1, TM desert eagle or the TM px4(yeah I like TMs).
Which of these would be the best choice, or is there an even better one that I've overlooked, except for glocks.
FYI I tend to play outdoor field so while I'm not expecting to out range AEGs and am fully prepared to be at a disadvantage, I would like to be able to still shoot a fair way

Well I'd say easy choice a tm mk23, silent as hell and can equal aeg range quite easy if not actually outrange some

1. Dont buy anything other than a TM pistol.

If youre going for a pistol only loadout you will want something durable, reliable and high quality. That leaves TM as your only choice... so good choice in having your heart set on one :P Ignore what everyone else says, theyll try to tempt you with KSCs and WEs, but theyre all crap and will let you down.

2. TM FN-5.7

Its made of pure magic. Because it has a magazine the same size as the Desert Eagle it holds a TONNE of gas, but unlike the desert eagle it doesnt have a slide the size of a small car - so its very economical with gas, it just keeps shooting and shooting and shooting. Never cools down or vents all the gas.

3. Use heavier weight BBs, at the very least a .25, though possibly a .28 might serve you better.

Whatever you choose make it a TM. I'm not a fan myself, but the Hi Capa has great reputation. Large magazine capacity for both gas & BBs.

Don't be tempted with changing to a metal slide either, they don't help, only hinder. TM slides are very well made.

Think about how many mags you want to carry with you as well, cause gas consumption will play a major factor. You will want something that can hold atleast 2 mags worth of gas per fill.

Also think about BB capacity in the mag. It can be a real pain only have 28 rounds when up against AEG's. So something that has high capacity mags might be what you want to look into (extended glock mags for example).

The TM Mk23 is a beast. I've used one as a primary so many times and are brill. A few little DIY mods and it will match if not outrange most AEG's and can lift 0.4's with ease.

You might also want to consider a SMG as a primary. All the benefits of a pistol but easier to shoulder etc. TM MP7 are brill.

Personally since I got my Mk23 some 18 months ago it has been my go to pistol whether as a primary or secondary. I love it. Great range, gas consumption. Yes it is MASSIVE but that's they only drawback.

I've heard that the FN-5.7 has a habit of killing itself and that they aren't terribly reliable or is that just bull?
Also, I did look at the mk23, but I think I'd much prefer a GBB at first, because while the mk23 will outrange it's you've said, it just doesn't seem as much fun to shoot as a GBB

TM MK23 with a TM GBB (I prefer P226s, but they are all pretty much as good as each other) of some sort on a belt mounted serpa in case you need a quick back up.

TM MK23s are the best all round airsoft gun ever made. They can do any role better than most specialist guns for a fraction of the price.

I ran my FN-5.7 on propane for 2 years of heavy skirmishing, it never missed a beat. As long as you keep it properly maintained itll serve you well forever.

I agree with the Mk23, non-blowbacks just arent as much fun in my book :P It may be a superduper countersniper pistol, but its just not as much fun - and thats what airsoft is supposed to be all about for me personally.

Also another +1 for the P226 as well, when I went to the Mall a few weeks ago my AEG was firing waaaay too hot (somehow... Im still blaming their chrono for being shit :P I refuse to accept that a gun thats been in storage for a year has gone from firing at 320fps consistantly to firing at 400+) and had to spend the whole day with just a my P226 and only one magazine. It drastically changed my play style, had to become much more agressive and up-close and personal and really pay attention to how much ammo I was using, yes I was heavily outgunned and spent a lot of time walking back to the respawn zone, but I had so much fun - possibly the best days 'softing Ive ever had.

The TM Mk23. Although if you want blowback, none other than the HK45. It is, in my (and a few others) opinion that it's the best GBB out the box there is atm.

Probably as above, TM MK23, but any TM really, they tend to be that little bit more reliable in the colder weather..

I agree on most of the above.

TM guns are ace. I have the TM Mk.23 and it is really that good...but the Umarex Mk.23 GBB looks very tempting...

I would also put a shout-out to the TM M870 Breacher as an incredibly fun, small shooter that lends itself to hit and run tactics, as well as offering up more fire power than a GBB but not as much as an AEG.

But, go TM. I have 3 gas TM pistols and they are superb.

The TM Desert Eagle is still the best pistol you can buy in my book, huge gas capacity, almost no cooldown and the hop can be accessed from the outside so no need to remove the slide as with most pistols. As others have said though almost any TM GBB will do you.

TM have never let me down when I needed a pistol to work again and again. My HK45 has functioned flawlessly day and night gaming. When the temperature dropped on the night games especially, the hop up remained consistent and held its original zero with the IR laser on my PEQ-14.

A mk23 & pretty much any good gas/beeb capacity tm gbb pistol of your liking. All bases covered.
