Please help me find some camouflage!
4 April, 2016, 10:21
I recently got back into Airsoft and having found out my Mum threw away my old BDUs I had to go to my local woodland site in black tracksuit bottoms and a fleece. I didn't think this would be that great and issue but it was very obvious I stuck out, even lying in foliage. So I've come to realize that it might be worthwhile getting some proper attire.
There's a surplus store near me that sells old DPM but that is where I got my last lot and everything was very large on me. I'm not particularly small. I'm 5 ft 10 but it seemed like they only stocked Large upwards. Regardless, being 14 at the time I couldn't wait and brought them anyway and they felt far to heavy, especially when muddy or wet.
What are my options for entry level price camouflage? Keep in mind that I am primarily a CQB player so being lightweight is pretty important to me - or do you think it was just the size that made it so troublesome.
Thanks in advance

Have a look at some of the Chinese knockoffs, they tend to come up smaller than UK equivalent sizes, often two sizes smaller, so order bigger than you need, but on the plus side you'll find some unusual camo at cheap prices.
Worth a look ?

Do you really need camo for CQB?
Cargos and a soft shell or UBACS for summer and you're good to go

My local is a woodland site, but I will be going to University in London in September where there are more CQB sites so I thought it's a good idea to get some lightweight camouflage gear

DPM is great for woodland, or urban but MTP isn't bad either. Steer clear of desert gear in a foliage rich spring/summer woodland environment.
I have some MTP gear to get rid of in your sizes if you were interested... I have trousers, ubacs and smocks in MTP in yoursize as my son just changed his loadout and is an adult small to medium and 5" 10.

For CQB i use US airforce ABUs. They are designed for urban/concrete areas which doesnt matter so much playing indoors, but they are by far the toughest combats i have ever used out of dozens i tried over the years, and i picked up my last pair for less than 20 beans online
