So save up the £80 or so you will need and invest it in some serious eye pro. Look at the Oakley SI range (Standard Issue, mil spec basically). M Frames are a good call, if you get the XL lens size they wrap around so well you will feel reassured your eyes are safe
Same as the ESS/Revision, only you're not paying for the branding that goes with the Oakleys, and the ESS/Revision ARE standard issue, where as the Oakleys would tend to be private purchase. You can buy a non-surplus pair of ESS glasses for about £50+ if that makes you feel any better, but they're the same as the £20 pair...

As for the 3m Marcus Gronholms, the lenses appear to have the lowest impact rating on the scale:
F - withstand impacts against small objects travelling up to 45 meters per second

    The other ratings are:
B - withstand impacts against small objects travelling up to 120 meters per second

A - withstand impacts against small objects travelling up to 190 meters per second

I'm as blind as a bat. So I had to get prescription lenses. I chose a pair of Wiley X Arrows. By far the best purchase I've made to date. Really comfortable, highly rated and well made.

I've been running the Bolle Rush+ for a while now...
By far the best glasses I've used.

Really good anti-fog, extremely comfortable and very reasonably priced

Do the Rush+ meet the right ballistic spec's (have been putting off looking all that up to refresh my memory on what is what, to check, is there a good primer/sticky anywhere for goggle spec's, would have though that most sites webpage would have something like that on... )? Had half look at them after seeing them on Zone's store.

They look like a low cost option to try out, thus on my short list currently. ESS ICE been my other main contender currently. Though still mulling over if trying glasses is a good idea or not atm.

Thanks for all the replies thus far everyone.

Again, the lenses and frames are rated F which is 45 m/s

Just for reference, 350fps is apparently 106.6 m/s

              EN166F: Low energy impact, resists a 6 mm, 0.86 g ball at 45 m/s.

              This is only 0.87J.

              Good luck with that.

Steel BBS don't deform on impact though, unlike plastic ones.
I've tested a set with a 400 fps rifle and were fine. I think I'll pick up my chrono tonight and test this with a .9g steel bearing. Will report back.

Agreed, and a fair amount of energy is lost through that deformation; however, 0.87J is still a long way off the energy in a deforming BB from a 500fps sniper rifle.

Most seem to be the 45m/s though

This is why I actually tested a pair of Marcus Gronholm's. Had people fire their AEG's, P*'s, GBBR's and pistols point blank range at the lens. Took over 300 shots to break.

I use ESS ICE glasses for woodland as I find mesh to restrictive. Never had an issue with bb's entering so far. I do however wear full seal in cqb just in case!

                            That's correct

If you look around, most are of the same rating as well

Using a pistol firing at 300+fps with a .2g, a 0.9g didn't even leave a mark on the lens of the rush plus.
I can't get my chrono atm but when I get it back I'll do a proper video for you.
