Advice needed for a new player
27 April, 2016, 11:25
I will be playing my first game of airsoft next weekend. I don't want to purchase expensive vests. What clothing should I wear that I could commonly find around the house?

Re: Advice needed for a new player
Whatever you want. The only important bit is a good pair of boots so you dont break your ankle.
Im assuming that as its your first game youll be renting a gun? In which case theyll likely only provide you with one magazine, so you wont really need a vest to carry loads of gear.
alternatively, Viper make some relatively cheap vests, you can pick one up for about £20-30 brand new, or much cheaper right here on these forums 2nd hand.

Re: Advice needed for a new player
Pretty much. Just pick stuff that you wont mind potentially getting ripped/ruined by charging about in muddy woods and getting shot at

Thanks. I was gonna buy a cm.516 and camo and vests all together but I've decided to buy an asr114 I think it is as I can always buy vests later down the line

Re: Advice needed for a new player
First purchases should probably be decent eye protection and boots

Re: Advice needed for a new player
You shouldn't really need much gear for your first time. Just wear some dark/earth tone clothing - Cargo pants if you have them, long sleeve top or two in layers (depending on weather and if you worry it'll hurt etc). Take plenty of water in case they don't have it free on tap, you need to stay hydrated. Some snacks too for energy. Definitely wear boots if you have some broken in, if not then the best off terrain footwear you have. £10 for extra bbs if you get through the rental package.
