Quick Question
27 May, 2010, 17:54
How would this gun perform?
SRC M4A1 (Wait for it)
JG 7mm Bearing V2 Gearbox
JG Blue 'Long Shaft' High Torque Motor
6.03 Tightbore Barrel
8.4v Battery
How would that gun perform compared to the Stock SRC?
Sorry about all the questions

Re: Quick Question
Isn't the SRC gearbox 8mm?
But it'd work quite well, especially if you used a 9.6v battery. The thing that most people want to upgrade in their gun is the Hop Unit/ Rubber + bucking combination - that'll probably give you the best results.

Re: Quick Question
Didn't know :/ Saves me £45.
So lets say...
SRC M4A1,
JG Blue 'Long Shaft' High Torque Motor,
Madbull 6.03 Tightbore
TM Hop Up unit (Unless I can do better?)
9.6v Battery (Can these fit in the foregrip?)

Re: Quick Question
Get a TM hop rubber, Firefly or Systema in that hop unit and she'll be quite a good performer!
And yes they do fit.
Maybe they're not 8mm, check when you take it out!

Re: Quick Question
I will do
But how do I check if its 6,7, or 8mm? Because if I have to open the GB I wont bother. I'll mess something up
So thats just...
SRC M4A1
Systema Hop Rubber
JG Blue 'Long Shaft' High Torque Motor
9.6v Battery
Madbull 6.03 Tightbore
Shall that be a good performer?

Re: Quick Question
Yes it will perform fine. I would go with a G&P M120 motor or maybe a marui eg1000, you dont need high torque when pulling a light spring, it will only reduce your ROF.

Re: Quick Question
I don't know why you would want to change the motor either. The Stock motor is an excellent mid priced motor in its own right. Gen 2 guns are 7mm and gen 3 guns are 8mm bearings. If you know what gen gun you got you know the Gb

Re: Quick Question
So I take it I only really need the Barrel and Hop up rubber?
Also, Will the gun take a Marui Compatible metal body?
