  • Questions, Again.

Recently I bought a second hand, AA R85 (L85A1). However, after firing 200 rounds through it, The piston has stripped.

bought for £160 Posted on zero in, and has the following upgrades.

    6.03 Tightbore,
    Metal Hop up unit,
    Fuse removed, improves RoF,
    New Bevel Gear.

And MANY more. and I'm not looking for alot of Cash, £60+

Now, I was wondering, Would it be worth fixing it and selling it, or selling it as broken (for repair)?

    Thanks

    Re: Questions, Again.

I would try to repair it myself. I haven't a clue how to do it but there are plenty of video guides available. I think the £160 you paid was a little on the high side to start with so you would have to take a large hit on what it is worth now, 200 rounds later. Is probably only worh £60 in it present condition.

      Makes of:
      6.03 Tightbore,
      Metal Hop up unit,
      New Bevel Gear?
And i'd try fix it/pay someone to.

I think they are just Chinese, But Kicks out some quality range, 60M plus.

Its just, I'm afraid to open it up and damage the gun or mess it up, making it worth £30 instead of £60.

Who would fix it? and how much would that cost? I dont have much cash to spend on this.

Just worked out that, I can sell it for £60 now. Or fix it for £40 and sell it for £100. Making it useless for me to fix.

Such an annoying mess... I dont need all the cash in the world anyway.
