Re: Classic AK47 vs AK47 tactical
In my opinion its classic AK. Simple wood and steel.
Just pimp the internals and watch people think "Or his gun is really old! Like him!" Then shoot them down from 200 Foot away..
A little wear is GREAT. Just dont overdo it or artificially wear it.

Subtle on the RIS, nice.
But then I don't really do subtle, I'm an artist by trade, I like to get creative and have my way with things.
My planned first AK:

Strangely I like that apart from the stock. A Magpul M93 would look good on that.

Re: Classic AK47 vs AK47 tactical
That's the stock that comes with the gun I'm buying, a side-flipper. As soon as I've confirmed that it can be removed, I'm getting one of those AK-M4 stock tubes and then a sliding stock. I like the idea of a short length of pull on an AK.

Re: Classic AK47 vs AK47 tactical
Hmm. How easy would it be to convert my RS Type 56 into a generic but 'classic' 47? I'd like the ability to change back easily as my mood suits...

Re: Classic AK47 vs AK47 tactical
So, externally they're pretty much identical, less trades/front sight etc? Never really looked into the AK. Cheers, I'll take a look around for a f/sight.

Re: Classic AK47 vs AK47 tactical
I do like the look of the classic AK but find that the standard stocks are too long, absolutly love the look of mine though it never was and never will be a 47
It started out as a Cyma AK 104 which is actually an AK 102 or 105 as they give you a 5.56/5.45 mag but that's really just it picking
Took off the flash hider
Put on a Kings Arms OD X47 RAS, some modding needed any repainting needed for the gas block
Kings Arms metal body
A new molded pistol grip, don't know what make but really comfy
Kings Arms AK to M4 stock adaptor
An OD Magpul MOE stock so not to look like a COD look a likey
And I use OD MAG Waffle midcap magazines in it so it looks like a 104 that would fire the 7.62x39 M43
I would have built this from scratch but I could not find a 102/4/5 barrel assemble for love nor money

I think the front grip has a cutaway for the bayonet aswell, nothing you could do about that unless you want to buy a
whole
nother front grip. Apart from that and the sight they are verry similar
