Re: Urgent help needed, batterys
It's not unusual for batteries to heat up while being charged.
Are we talking Nickel batteries here? How hot, could you still pick them up? or hotter than that?

Never wave them at police firearms response teams. Those people have (real) guns and no sense of humour.

Not sure what type exactly it's nh-cd or what ever it's called I belive. I. Could pick them up ok although very hot. Stuck them in front of a fan and cooled now? Is it safe to use, will it damage anything in the gun if I use it?

FYI with Nickel it's either NiMH (Nickel Metal-hydride) or NiCd (Nickel Cadmium).
And yes, you should be fine to use your batteries.

That is normal, don't worry - just don't charge them on the side of a sofa arm or something :D

Re: Urgent help needed, batterys
If you are worried, and your charger is variable, charge rate then just drop the rate of charge a notch or too. Charging on fast charge too often will damage your batteries eventually.

Re: Urgent help needed, batterys
A trickle charger shouldnt get the batteries that hot though, a fast charger maybe.
section 24 of the 1968 Act

1)It is an offence for a person under the age of eighteen to purchase an imitation firearm
2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.

Make sure you charge on 2A not 5A then they will last longer and not get so hot.....

Re: Urgent help needed, batterys
You may be right. In which case if you are charging at 5A you need to stay near by while they are charging. Don't go out shopping as you say they are getting very hot.
If this is the same as yours read the last line.
I found this description fairly quickly:
Run an E-Revo, Emaxx, E-Savage or Savage Flux and dont want the expense of buying two chargers, or you dont want to have to sit back and wait while you charge one pack at a time?
Then this is the charger you have been waiting for!
The new Fusion 5ive Delta Peak charger is specifically designed for charging two 6-8 cell packs at the same time............and does it quickly!!
Specification:
* Twin output delta peak charger
* Two colour LED charge indicators for each output
* AC input 110-240V
* 6-8 cell (7.2v-9.6v)
* NiCad & NiMh
* Charge rate 5A (Pulsed)
* Twin 4mm spring clip output connections
* Includes 2x Tamiya battery style charge leads
* Auto trickle charge following fast charge

Re: Urgent help needed, batterys
Is this it?
If so, it does appear that it's 5A only
