Mosfets
20 August, 2010, 09:06
I have a general basic knowledge of what mosfets do. But what is needed for me to install one? Not like a soldering iron, I meant internal upgrades...
Do I need dean connectors? A big mah battery? Plus will any old mosfet do or could someone recceommend a good one for the price which preferably has 3round burst as that sounds nice to have :D. Looking a cheetah ones though I can't find one cheap...
Thanks for the help guys
Much appreciated :D

Re: Mosfets....
I'd go with an AB mosfet. You should be able to squeeze 3 rounds by timing your trigger time
You don't need deans or big mAh batteries. Those have their own purpose.
LiPo + MOSFET is a good combo for trigger crispness though, and Deans are a good idea to get the best out of LiPos.

Re: Mosfets....
You can fit a mosfet to your mech box without any other upgrades.
Although it will depend on your upgrades how well the mech box performs.
So a fully rebuilt mech box with faster high quality parts will always out perform standard mech boxes.

Re: Mosfets
You can build a basic AB mosfet for a tenner... I am about to start making my own, just got all the components in (all 4 of them!), just need a 100ohm resistor. Off to raid my department's supplies I go!
*grumble* bloody having to trek all the way down to reading to get some poxy resistors...
