Does anyone know what type of barrel is ment to go into this hop (Laylax (PSS2) Aero Chamber Hop-Up Unit)? AEG barrel or what :S?

isnt that hop designed to accept AEG barrel? it normally says in the listing

Get an AEG barrel. I've been working on setting mine up for the last hour. (They're fiddly but worth it)

Ahh sorry i've got a PDI one... my bad
I've got an l96 one but the differences are tiny. I'm pretty sure the Laylax ones are better looking versions of the PDI v1 unit.
They have 2 levers that adjust hop up on the left side and right side of the nub with adjustable grubs. But they are most definately designed for AEG barrels, I've got a Madbull V2 barrel and prometheus hard bucking in mine with a custom made nub.

the pdi has 2 prongs, the laylax has 1

In that case what I have said is probably not helpful to you.

It does say on the Z1 site though quite clearly for AEG barrels in the title. So I guess that has probably answered your question..

lol oops at not recognising AEG in the title :P

I found the same hop on an alternative site and it gives a bit more info but it appears it won't fit a type 96 outer barrel too, rendering it useless

I also did own a PDI hop but never used it and now wish i kinda kept it

I'm just looking for one of those magazine catch screws that go into the hop up now, mine sheared off when The zero trigger went off at rear lock of the cylinder cycle.

Sheared it clean in half and had to drill it out

But they are good- gets 40m (backgarden) no problems.
