Tokyo Marui, Classic Army or ICS
25 August, 2010, 09:22
I’m about to buy my first gun, decided on either an MP5 or a G36C due to preferring a small gun. Have been borrowing my mates M4 for airsoft, feels to big.
I was told by my mate to go for either TM, CA or ICS, i would like some further advise though.. What brand is best for my needs. As i’m not sure how knowledgable he really is and you lot seem to know a hell of allot about this kind of stuff.
What i want:
- Reliability (Most important thing)
- Well Built (Doesn’t mean i want a metal gun, i just want something well put together.)
- Good FPS
I know very little about all this upgrade stuff with guns, so for now i just want something stock. Suppose all i want from a gun is something which is going to last me, be a good starter while i properly get into Airsoft and won't break on me.
Thanks for the help chaps!

If you're going for the MP5 I'd certainly recommend the CA, general concensus is that they make the best MP5s

Re: Tokyo Marui, Classic Army or ICS
tms always a safe bet, and well built.
But fizzys right i enjoy the classic army mp5 range much more.
on the fency with the g36c, the original real steel was real plastic so i dont think it matters too much about the 36c, at least with the tm your garrentying you wont have to replace the hop unit at some point.

Re: Tokyo Marui, Classic Army or ICS
CA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have several of their AR-15 series and I can not fault them. And the CA B&T MP5 series is mean to be the best. And as the price for all is similar, I would go with CA, even if they are a little bit more.
However if you want reliability, TM are very good. My local retailer will, if it is bought form them, fix it for free they have that much faith in them. However I still recommend CA.

CA as i have handled it and it is a lovely bit of kit. I actually own the ICS as that came as part of a deal and it is ultra reliable too.
I would if there were no issues with sourcing mags recommend the SRC as it is actually better in most respects to all of the above. But try finding a mag in this country for it. So leave well alone unless you want to run around with one mag in your gun all day.

M4 does not have to be too big, there is a huge difference in a full stock M4A1 and a sliding stock M733 for example
or ever reduce further to a stubby killer
MP5 is a nice choice though - i have one of them too
good idea - try a friends first so you are going about this sensibly
and lets not forget - its airsoft - your going to end up with a collection eventually

Re: Tokyo Marui, Classic Army or ICS
IF you can find one, the G&G MP5 is also an excellent offering.
Slightly less ROF than the CA but everything else is the same. I'd also say they were the best externally.
