Help what does this mean?
17 September, 2010, 16:02
Hi guys i am importing a aeg atm. I checked the tracking number and this is what it says....
Parcel tracking details
Progress of the parcel you've enquired about is displayed below.
Parcel number: **********
Status: Handed Over
Parcel tracks
Date Time Location Tracking Event
15-09-2010 18:57 Delivery Agent - HONG KONG - PTT Left origin country
14-09-2010 17:04 Delivery Agent - HONG KONG Collected from customer
Does "handed over " mean its with parcel force in the uk?
How long will it take to get to me?
any help would be appriciated
regards
Fizzy

Re: Help what does this mean!?!
Handed over means it's now the responsibility of the receiving country

Why would you do that? And how do you know they have it processing and it's even on their system yet?
OP, the best thing to do is try your tracking number on ParcelForce's website and tick the 'incoming international parcel' option. It may well not be on the system yet though

Re: Help what does this mean!?!
Just be patient,I doubt yours is the only parcel they have to deal with.
I've always found they track well on one side of the ocean only..the other side is usually a let down..
It only makes you anxious if you try to track an item especially from somewhere like HK,2 to 3 weeks is the norm from the
mountain

To be fair I think the OP IS being patient, he just wanted to know what "Handed Over" meant, it's other people that haven't read the thread and suggested calling HMRC :p

No it clearly states that its left hong kong
now you can enjoy parcel forces shoddy services and customs!
So you may want to take some patient pills for a while because the wait has begun

Re: Help what does this mean!?!
The tracking number you have gets converted to a UK one depending how it comes.
What you pasted at top, is that what is showing on HK post? Track that internationally via Parcel Force, you'll get a UK number and more details about where it is!

Re: Help what does this mean!?!
I ordered some MP7 parts from a wolf thats red a week ago and had this too. Apparently the plane was in the air for 2 days to get from HK to the UK (where my parcel is currently stuck in customs awaiting charges
). I would give it a couple of days and it will probably update.

Re: Help what does this mean!?!
The number is tracked on the parcle force website, royal mail says the same thing and hong kong says " arrived at destination"
